If you think your awkward your embarrassing pictures have been deleted on Facebook social networking site then you are wrong. Because Facebook now admitted that its systems don't always delete pictures in a reasonable period of time. It means anyone can still accessed these images with a direct URL link to the images.Deleted images vanish from 'normal' views of the site, meaning if you log in to Facebook and look on somebody's photo page, they won't be visible. But they would still remain visible to anyone with a direct URL link to the picture.
That means that if, for instance, a picture has been circulated by e-mail, the image will still be there for anyone who clicks the link.
The revelation comes after Facebook faced criticism for its new ‘Timeline’ profile page, giving users seven days to ‘tidy up’ their timelines by removing pictures and posts they don''t like.
